Unbelievable
I go away for one night to a couple of bars with some friends and when I wake up this morning some asshole has decided to bomb an Army recruiting station in Times Square.
I must ask, why? What possible good does it do someone to bomb a recruiting station? Thankfully nobody was hurt or killed, just shook the building and broke some glass, in addition to making people run a little faster.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, if you want to protest the war in Iraq then feel free to do so. But by choosing military stations, ports, airfields, recruiting stations and the like aren’t going to have even the slightest fucking effect on international policy. The military doesn’t pick up the phone and tell the Presidunce ‘Thought you’d like to know, we’re invading tomorrow morning’. No, our elected government makes the decision to go to war. Protest there, at the office of your Senator, your Congressman, and your fucking President.
And one more thing, when I say protesting…I don’t mean blow something up. That bit in the 1ST Amendment doesn’t include the right to place explosive devices where ever the hell you please. Also, the right to gather peacefully does not include blowing something up.
Out.
