Arizona: Leading the Charge to Fascism

Well, maybe not, that asshole in the White House is miles ahead of most of us. But Arizona is catching up with a surprising amount of speed.

Rep. Russell Pearce has himself a legacy to leave to all the residents of Arizona. At least all the ‘legal’ residents of Arizona, nobody else is welcome. I guess that is how Pearce says ‘fuck you’ without actually having to use those exact words. Prick.

Pearce authored the ‘employer sanctions’ law, and the people of Arizona passed into law. Not having read the law myself (I’m still to sober to read something that sickening) I cannot tell you exactly what it does or does not say. What it seems to do though, is prohibit employers from employing illegal immigrants through revocation of their business license. I wonder if they plan on revoking the licenses of big businesses, or if they are really targeting the little guy who cannot afford the legal guns required to fight the state government. Anyway, sounds fair right?

Wait, wait…something has caught my eye…

“Everybody here, legally or illegally, we are part of a motor that makes this country run,” Herrera said. “Once we leave, the motor is going to start to slow down.”

Interesting, very fucking interesting indeed. I wonder where Mr. Herrera is going with this. Could it be that when all the illegal immigrants leave Arizona that the local economy will plunge even further? Could it be that all the menial labor jobs that illegal immigrants normally fill will go unfilled because American labors won’t work that kind of shit job for that shit pay? Could Mr. Herrera be trying to say that people like Pearce don’t have clue fucking one as to how the world works?

Speaking of Pearce, hear of some of his comments…should tell you a great deal about this simple, narrow-minded, ignorant, bigoted fuck.

“I’m hoping they will self-deport, they broke the law. They’re criminals.”

“Pearce disagreed that the Arizona economy will suffer after illegal immigrants leave, saying there will be less crime, lower taxes, less congestion, smaller classroom sizes and shorter lines in emergency rooms.”

“We have a free market. It’ll adjust,” he said. “Americans will be much better off.”

Sounds like a real fucking charmer to me. Looking out for the welfare of his fellow man and all that good shit. I guess though, that people from countries like Mexico aren’t really human, not really worthy of looking out for or helping out. What is it that is inscribed on the Statue of Liberty?

“Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed to me.
I lift my lamp beside the golden door.”

I think Pearce and many more like him need a fucking reminder of what this country was built on.

Link and out.
