First Amendment battle…again.
Tuesday, November 20th, 2007Private Schools + shitty teachers + enraged parent = Lawsuit?
What the fuck? Ok, wait a minute, I’m doing that thing again, you know, the one where I start swearing without telling anyone what is going on. So here is the story, in short that is.
A lady enrolls her kid in a private school (kid is in kindergarten, I didn’t even know they had private schools for kids that young, wtf?), finds out that the people running the school are full of shit, or in her words “students were being belittled, exposed to extreme stress and exposed to dictatorial conditions”. So naturally, Mom pulls kid from school and is a weeeee bit upset over things, especially since she paid these people to provide her kid with the best education available. Totally off the topic, but lady, you’re going to have look outside the fucking country for a good education for your kid. Anyway, moving on…
After the woman, whose name is Sonija McSween, withdrew her child from this school, she decided to create a blog that told of the schools conduct, policies and so forth as a warning for other parents looking to enroll their kids. So what did the school do, and I’ll bet you are wondering where this school is and what the name is, well…Orlando, Florida, and named New School of Orlando (guess they were out of inspiration when name day came around), anyhow, New School sued McSween. Sued her. Sued her for slander and liable, and to my eyes it is all because she said some negative things about the school.
Wow. I had no clue you could be sued for exercising your first amendment rights. Astonishing. I mean really America, are you going to let this go unanswered? Well since this is not the first time a Constitutional right has been raped in full, uncensored public view, I have decided to provide America with the updated version of the First Amendment. Read on dear readers to find out how our fine, narrow-minded, neurotic, flaccid skinsuit of a president views the First Amendment.
Amendment I (Original version)
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for redress of grievances.
Amendment I (Updated version)
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof, unless said religion involves anything other than approved right wing corruption allowing an already insanely powerful organization to garner yet more power; or abridging the freedom of speech, provided speech does not expose government officials, institutions, or businesses which contribute heavily to campaign funds, or businesses which follow aforementioned right wing religions; or of the press, as the press is owned by our Republican friends we see no need to level heavy censure here; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for redress of grievances; though all assembled are subject to severe and swift measures of retribution by police and government officials, redress is still granted provided that the appropriate paperwork is correctly completed and filed by the requested date.
Or, the short version:
Amendment I
We’re rich, your not, fuck off America.
And that is the end of this nights rant. Fear not though, more to come. Here is the link to the story in the Miami Herald. Is it just me or do WAY to many problems find there birth in Florida? Jeb…yeah, I’m looking at you. Putz.
